All You Need to Know About Boo

When it comes to writing an introduction about myself… I’m not sure where to begin. It feels like I’ve got too much to say and yet at the same time, nothing to say at all. Nonetheless, here are some basic details that people usually talk about when they first meet someone.
I’m a Monkey born in 1992 and a July baby. (Cancerian here, yay!) Schooled in Balestier Hill Primary School → Chung Cheng High (Main) School → Tampines Junior College → LASALLE College of the Arts. Currently, I'm working as a Senior Executive mainly handling Social Media Marketing. I’ve got no siblings (and wish I’ve got a bigger brother so he can smack all the asses I’ve dated but we all know that’s not gonna happen). My hobbies include watching shows, gaming, and going out with great company.
Now that we’ve got all that out, let’s get down to the (slightly more) interesting parts about me!
I LOVE ANIMALS. By that I mean ALL kinds of animals. I love the usual pets - cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, fishes - but I also love exotic ones. I adore reptiles and insects and feel that they're often misunderstood as scary/evil/creepy when they can be so cute and beautiful!
Here are a few photos of me and some really lovely animals:

Stingray, monkey, deer, owl, llama, bengal cats, monitor lizard, capybara and chiwawa. All taken during my solo Japan trip!
More about that in another post :)
Since young, I often caught insects and kept them as pets to observe them. I'm really glad that my parents allowed me to do so cause I know that a lot of parents would've thrown their kids out if they're keeping spiders and whatnot (lol). I've always wanted to be a vet but uhhh, science ain't my strong suit so eventually I diverted from that path. However, my love for animals only grew deeper as I traveled to places and played with more animals!
Here's an important shoutout to help animals in need: Join WWF! What a depressing world it'll be if we lose more and more animals so please, I urge you to at least have a look and understand how much they need us. Even if we can't physically be there for the animals, we can always help with our pockets.
Other than my insane amount of love towards animals, I'm a huge fan of traveling as well. My love for travel only really begun when I went overseas with Charlotte to Australia. Her thirst for travel made me curious and eventually, I got converted into a travel addict. I've mostly traveled within Asia but I do wish to explore more countries out of my comfort zone! I can't wait to travel to Vietnam as well and visit my sponsored child. Did you know that World Vision allows you to help children in need and you can get to visit them? (Okay, now this post sounds like an advertorial for charities but it's not!) Imagine how meaningful it is to travel to a country and visit the child that you've been helping, get to know them and play with them?! I also intend to go on voluntary trips but that will take much more planning in the future. Stay tuned for our travel posts!
More than my interests, I am who I am today because of the dramatic series of events in my life. It hasn't been easy but I wouldn't dare say that it has been hell. I've had my fair share of good and bad and I'm grateful for the people in my life, whether they came and left or miraculously appeared and stayed. So much more to share but I'll leave it for another time!
Hope you guys will love us or at least the stuff we write :)
With love,
Rachel Boo ♡
